Irish Homes is a social housing company working with all 31 Local Authorities in Ireland to deliver quality homes through three Government schemes.
Mortgage to Rent
Irish Homes is a provider under the Government's Mortgage to Rent scheme, operated by the Department of Housing and overseen by the Housing Agency. The scheme supports homeowners at risk of losing their homes due to mortgage arrears.
Repair & Lease
The Repair and Leasing Scheme enables vacant properties requiring repair to be brought back into use for social housing. Property owners fund repairs with potential local authority support and lease homes for social tenants.
Long-Term Leasing
Long-term leasing schemes (5–25 years) allow property owners to lease private homes to Local Authorities or Approved Housing Bodies for social tenants, providing secure income and professional management.
